Accessibility
I want everyone to be able to use this site, check prices and reach me, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.
What I aim for
My goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Things I've done so far:
- Form fields have visible labels, solid outlines and clear focus highlighting, with text and borders that meet WCAG contrast levels
- The quote form and booking work with a keyboard, and buttons are large enough to tap on a phone
- The site works in light and dark mode, at narrow phone widths and when zoomed to 200%
- Animations are turned off if your device asks for reduced motion
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions; decorative drawings are hidden from screen readers
Known limits
- The video on the home page doesn't have captions yet.
- Plan brochures are PDFs from the insurance company and may not be fully accessible. I'm happy to go over them with you by phone or send the details another way.
- Sites I link to (insurance companies, prescription price sites, government sites) are run by others.
